Yes, Medicare can be your secondary insurance.
Although Medicare is not free, most individuals can qualify for Part A for free.
Medigap, also known as Medicare Supplemental Insurance, helps cover costs not covered in your Original Medicare policy. You can purchase a Medigap policy through private insurance companies.
Part D offers coverage for prescription drug medications. However, all Medicare plans must cover prescription drugs within protected classes, such as anticancer drugs.

In general, your Medicare plan should automatically renew every year regardless of what plan you have.
You are not required to sign up for Medicare at 65.
You can enroll in Medicare 3 months before your 65th birthday. However, you may be eligible to sign up earlier if you have a disability, ALS, or End-Stage Renal Disease.
Usually, if you receive benefits from the Social Security Administration or Railroad Retirement Board, you will automatically be enrolled in Part A and Part B on your 65th birthday.
Unfortunately, you cannot have a Health Savings Account and enroll in Part A or Part B.
You may be dual eligible to have Medicare and Medicaid simultaneously if you meet specific financial criteria.
